Connoisseurs of culture, contemporary art, music, nature and everyone who wants to relax and absorb Icelandic culture come here from all over the world. Walking through the streets of the city, look into the Lutheran Church of Hallgrimskirja, towering over the city, visit one of the many geothermal springs, taste Icelandic delicacies and immerse yourself in the life of the region. Museums, galleries, street sculptures and street art are at every turn - this is just an incomplete list of things to do in Reykjavik. Day 2. June 16, 2023 Dynyandi Waterfall
Tourists from all over the world come to Dynyandi for the striking beauty, the largest series of waterfalls in the Westfjords. Dinyandi is close to Dinjandisvogur Bay and Arnarfjordur Fjord, an area with stunning natural views, picturesque coastline and rich fauna. Dynyandi waterfall cascades into a total of about 100 meters, and the rise to it is no more than 15 minutes. A picturesque path leads to the waterfall, and on the way there are 6 small waterfalls. From the panoramic platform you can take great pictures. Hrafnseyri, near Dynjandi, is the birthplace of Jon Sigurdsson, leader of the 19th century Icelandic independence movement. Day 3. June 17, 2023 Isafjordur and Vigur Island
You arrive at Isafjordur, the "ice fjord", the largest city on the Vestfjordur peninsula in northwest Iceland. The first settlements appeared in the Isafjordur area shortly after the Vikings landed in Iceland. After some time, merchants from Iceland and Norway began to settle here, and from the XVI century foreign merchants from Germany and England began to create their own trading posts.

Day 4. June 18, 2023 Grimsey Island.
The secluded island of Grimsey is located 40 kilometers off the northern coast of Iceland. Today, the island of only 5 km2 has a population of no more than 100 people, but it is very popular among travelers because it is located on the Arctic Circle line, and this is the only point in Iceland where polar day. In Akureyri itself, you can see the colorful old town, houses with peat roofs, well-preserved examples of ancient Icelandic dwellings, the Arctic Botanical Garden, the main church of Akureyri, which has become a symbol of the city, towering over the very center. Winters in Iceland are harsh, so Icelanders deal with seasonal depression in their own way: the traffic lights of this northern Icelandic city glow with red hearts. Ocean waters in the vicinity of Akureyri and Eyjafjordur abound with marine animals, especially whales, dolphins and porpoises. Not far from Akureyri is Lake Myvatn, the main attraction of northern Iceland. Huge lava fields, volcano craters, hot water cave, broken plates, giant frozen figures from lava, pseudocraters are found on the shores and in the vicinity of this lake. Day 7. June 21, 2023. Djupivogur
The largest city in eastern Iceland is considered modern Höfn, the population
which is only about 1700 people. This is an absolutely indescribable sight that is definitely worth seeing with your own eyes! This pretty town is located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, next to Europe's largest glacier - Vatnajökull, which is second only to the glaciers of Greenland and Antarctica in terms of water reserves. The area of the glacier is approximately 8300 km2, and there are several active volcanoes under its massif. 80 km from the city, one and a half kilometers from the ocean, there is the Jokulsarlon glacial lagoon, in which melted glacial water mixes with sea salt, and blocks of ice breaking off from the glacier form various bizarre shapes. There are a lot of fish in the waters of the lagoon, which are hunted by seals, willingly posing for tourists. The appearance of the city itself is represented by low houses with multi-colored roofs and smooth streets. In Höfn there is a museum with a rich exposition dedicated to an amazing natural site - Vatnajökull.

Day 8. June 22, 2023 Heimaey
There is a lighthouse from the beginning of the 20th century and an observation deck. However, do not forget to bring warm clothes: Storhöfdi is the windiest place in Europe. Vestmannaeyjar, Heimaey is the world's largest colony of Atlantic puffins.
Ten million puffins migrate to the island every summer. The best place to see nesting puffins is without a doubt Storhöfdi, the "Big Cape" on the south side of Heimaey Island. There is only one city on the island with a population of about 4,000 people. You can learn more about the history of Heimaey at the Eldheimar Museum.
