Arrival in Karachi by morning flight and hotel check-in.
Upon arrival, we will check into the hotel and, after a brief rest, head to the "African" quarter of Karachi to meet what is perhaps the city's most unusual community. The ancestors of today's Siddi community members were brought here as slaves from Zanzibar over centuries. While they are now Sunni Muslims, they have preserved their traditional drumming music and dances, as well as their pre-Islamic crocodile worship.
After that, we will visit Karachi’s most iconic spots, including Mohatta Palace, the residence of Quaid-e-Azam, the market, and St. Patrick's Church.
We'll end our busy day with dinner at Do Darya restaurant.
Meals included: Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation included: Avari Towers Karachi

Next, we will explore the stunning Shah Jahan Mosque and reach our hotel on the shores of Keenjhar Lake by sunset.

Day 3. February 17, 2025 (Monday). KEENJHAR – MOHANA HUNTERS – RANIKOT FORT – SEHWAN (290 km, 5 hours)
In the morning, we will meet the Mohana people, descendants of the builders of ancient Harappa and Mohenjo Daro cities. We will witness their way of life and unique hunting techniques.
Mohana are descendants of the river civilization that emerged 5,000 years ago between Pakistan and India. The builders of Mohenjo Daro were likely very similar to today's Mohana people, of Dravidian phenotype like the aboriginals of South India: dark-skinned, with wavy black hair and aquiline noses. For centuries, they have been closely tied to the river and its resources.
Mohana survive through traditional fishing and hunting of waterfowl using a remarkable technique that allows them to “transform” into birds.
Mohana hunters cover their heads with bird decoys and dive into the murky water, approaching birds along the shore and capturing them.
After lunch, we will visit Ranikot Fort, the world’s largest fort, with walls stretching about 32 kilometers, often compared to the Great Wall of China.
We will take a short trek (2–3 hours) to the Fairy Pond and then head to Sehwan.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 4. February 18, 2025 (Tuesday). LAL SHAHBAZ QALANDAR – MOHENJO DARO – LARKANA (350 km, 5 hours)

Afterward, we will travel to Mohenjo Daro, one of the most ancient and mysterious cities on Earth, where public toilets and a sewer system first appeared more than 4,000 years ago—an achievement only realized in the modern world at the turn of the 18th–19th centuries.
Mohenjo Daro stands out among other centers of the Harappan civilization for its nearly perfect city planning, use of fired bricks, and complex irrigation and ritual structures.
