On the way back to Mexico City, we will visit the most important Catholic shrine in all of Latin America – the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The Basilica is a major pilgrimage site for deeply devout Catholics from both Mexico and other Catholic countries, as it houses the indigenous poncho on which an image of the Virgin of Guadalupe appeared in the 16th century.
